On the Ukrainian website, personal data of journalists who worked in the "DPR" were published
The celebration of Victory Day died out, the network disputes about the Immortal Regiment campaign are quiet - and another war, which is coming today, comes to the fore. Although the intensity of hostilities in the Donbass is now small (officially there is a truce), the information war continues with the previous force. On May 9, a group of Ukrainian hackers, for example, hacked at once 9 sites of the DPR separatists.
This story, however, had an unexpected continuation. Verkhovna Rada deputy and adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko the day before made such a record on Facebook:
The other day, a group of Ukrainian hackers, united in communities around the Peacemaker project, made a gift for the "Victory Day" in the LPR and the DPR.
Emblems of the SBU and Ukrainian flags appeared on the leading sites of the Banana Republics.
A month ago, a group of Ukrainian hackers penetrated and brought down from the inside the entire information system of the DPR/LPR.
More than 7 terabytes of internal documents of banana republics were downloaded.
All information was transmitted for analysis and use in the work of the SBU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other competent services of Ukraine.
For my part, I became interested in the question: how is the DPR the situation with the organization of the information and propagandist work? <...>
Today I will publish the structure of the Ministry of Propaganda of the DPR and the list of its employees so that our society and persons participating in decision -making are compared and understood - how little forces and funds are spent by the Ukrainian state on counteracting the propaganda of the Russian Federation and its puppets.
Then Gerashchenko acts with a number of proposals, somewhat reminiscent of calls to introduce censorship, and then announces an important event:
(In the near future, the Peacemaker website will be published full data on Ukrainian and foreign journalists who have passed “accreditation” in the DPR of more than 7 thousand).
Indeed, on the Peacemaker website, which Gerashchenko is not praising for the first time (the last story concerned the personal data of the Russian military, supposedly fighting in Syria), a file with the personal data of journalists appeared.
At the end of 2015, the so -called The Minister of Propaganda of the DPR terrorist organization, someone Elena Nikitina (Pushilina) stated that they “akredit” 7901 journalists and created the appropriate database.
Happy this list of journalists in our hands. We do not know what consequences will be after the publication of this list, but we know for sure: it is necessary to publish it based on the fact that these journalists cooperate with the militants of the terrorist organization. This is socially significant information, and we, citizens of Ukraine, must know it.
We do not draw conclusions yet, but have already paid attention to the following oddities:
For some reason, many non-Russian publications (CNN? BBC? AFP?) Journalists with Russian surnames and names.
For some reason, many foreign journalists have the phones of Ukrainian operators for communication. <...>
In the report by Nikitina (Pushilina), the number 7901 sounded, but in fact in the list of 4068 lines. We know for sure that this is the list, and Pushilina also knows that we have it. Breeschet? We are sure yes. T.N. "Ministry of Propaganda" after all.
A runaway analysis of the list showed that some personalities proudly calling themselves journalists were seen with weapons in their hands fighting against the Ukrainian army.
We will understand.
One of the first to come out against this publication was the leader of the Informnapalm Roman Burko project:
Before the ashes#Opmay9 had yet managed to cool down, when the aesthetically beautiful defaches of the official sites of the “DPR” terrorist structures were conducted aesthetically, as with his blunder in the#WikiLeaks style (drain and do not think) all the authority of Ukrainian hackers was trampled into the mud. Only now hackers are different and those who accept information from them are also different and often peculiar. <...>
Today there was a noise around the data merged into open access to journalists of different countries accredited to the L/DPR, the data were merged in the WikiLeaks style, that is, "first drains, and then we think." <...> A person who is accredited behind a curb cannot automatically be an accomplice of terrorists. He went there to collect information, and about his role in the Kremlin’s hybrid tactics, one can and should compile an opinion already from the analysis of his social behavior and the plots that he broadcasts. <...>
It is unfortunate that instead of news and words of delight with the actions of Ukrainians in cyberspace that were carried out yesterday, the Western media will broadcast slag about the merged data of their journalists.
Oksana Romanyuk from "reporters without borders" subjected the sharp criticism of the "peacekeeper":
Hackers of the Peacemaker site inflicted a real blow to the image of Ukraine at several levels at once. They took and dumped personal data about 5 thousand journalists who had accreditation of the so -called DPR/LPR. Some unreasonable deputies are already urging them to hang them on the pillars, and some equally smart sofa patriots are already calling them with curses. Here I just remind you that in 2014 eighty journalists, Ukrainian and foreign, one way or another went through the basements of the separatists. <...> Thanks to their efforts, Ukraine had international support - for the world found out what was happening there. <...> In one fell swoop, set up key international media against yourself - this must be tried.
Many commentators under the post of Gerashchenko are also indignant:
Cool. The names of snipers from the Maidan are still not established, but you are dumping on the Internet, on general censure, the names of journalists.
Is this not the same propaganda, displacement of accents and blowing heads?
Where, let me ask, we would draw at least more or less true information about what is happening in the DPR of the LPR, if not for the publication of independent journalists accredited there?
And, finally, the journalists themselves - both those whose data is in the published database and their colleagues. Both Ukrainian and Russian journalists and media correspondents of other countries express about the same thoughts and are in solidarity with each other.
Opinions of Russian reporters:

Statement of the Russian independent trade union of journalists
Unfortunately, not everyone understands the specifics of the work of journalists in the context of the conflict and the need to obey not only the official authorities operating on its territory de jure, but also people with weapons that control this territory de facto. With such measures, a journalist can not only protect himself from the “basement” and torture, but also receive and transmit information from the cluster zone.
We consider any repressions and defeat in the rights of journalists who fell into this list, from any organizations and authorities of the authorities. The trade union of journalists and media workers also sends the reporters without borders, the International Federation of Journalists and the Frontline Human Rights Club with a request to evaluate the publication of such a list.
Those who were in the Donbass themselves are especially indignant and worked on both sides of the front line:
In the logic of this joke in Ukraine, some seek to fight with journalists, and not stealing from the budget. Your case https://t.co/e0gynvgjtu

@lesik_g @stankonastya @odinspam because we are on this list with abnormal ones, and we suffer from this
- Feldman (@evgenyfeldman) May 11, 2016
@Vwvwvv3 I am annoyed by access to them from incomprehensible and unpredictable idiots on any side of the border
- Feldman (@evgenyfeldman) May 10, 2016
Many of the journalists on this list have long been unawy in the DPR, the enemies of the Donbass people and foreign agents. Part sat in the basements, some received a lot of threats from the "Russian patriots." The work of these journalists shook Ukrainian officials, pointing to the Russian army, Russian tanks and Buryats in particular.
The need to obey the requirements of armed people is a sad but inevitable side of reality in the work of a journalist in the war. You do not remove a person with weapons without asking permission. You do not take off what is forbidden to shoot. You get all the documents that increase the safety of your work - including accreditation, that the SBU, that "DPR". Especially if your hands are twisted and taken to the ODA for its absence. You cross the border of the “DPR” legally, from Ukraine, subjected to humiliating meaningless interrogations, attempts to deport, withdrawal from trains in the middle of the night. <...>
The task of the journalist is to find the opportunity to work honestly, maneuvering between these necessary and inevitable restrictions. It seems to me that I managed to do this, removing both the key points of the war itself and the complex life of civilians. Moreover, having all these possible permits and without violating the established restrictions, I managed to help several Ukrainian soldiers who were captured <...>.
The publication of the Peacemaker site shows how much its authors have no idea about the specifics of the risky work of journalists in the war. Butusov with Gerashchenko, people with the raid of “officiality”, discuss that the society has enough data from intelligence from the territory of the “DPR” (nonsense) and that no one asked Hitler (lies). Hundreds of independent journalists in Russia, Ukraine and the West are now under the blow.
Again, in a wave of emotions, they make strongly counter -productive actions.
So, well, in short, soon I will be the only journalist in the world who can go to Ukraine to Ukraine (Patamusha Accreditas in the DPR)!
Advisor to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, deputy of the WP of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko conquers new heights, publishing a list of journalists who have received the accreditation of the DPR on his website, with phones and postal addresses. Precedes this all the beautiful text from which I would like to highlight several points: <...>
- "We do not know what consequences will be after the publication of this list" - in this case, it is better to think at first. Most of this is obvious right away.
- "These journalists cooperate with the militants of the terrorist organization." Yeah, as well as volunteers, negotiators about the exchange of prisoners and so on.
"This is socially significant information, and we, citizens of Ukraine, must know it." Social and significant information is what these journalists published, for which they received accreditation on both parties. And not their contact details. But when the thirst for Piara conquers common sense, you stop paying attention to, yes. It is a pity that the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs believes that citizens of Ukraine do not deserve to know what is happening in the conflict zone in their own country.
Sorry, I probably missed a lot while I was busy with other things, but how did it happen that the highest government posts of Ukraine were in the hands of such amazing morons? It seems to me that if you are coated with shit yourself, throw it in others and jump with a wild howling, then "because Russia is waging a hybrid war against us" is not a very convincing answer to the question "why are you doing this."
It would be cool if the case was opened against Gerashchenko in some country such as the Netherlands, otherwise it was completely already.
And when you download the file, it is called "7901Scoundrels" ( *scum ). No, the comrade, of course, does not give any assessments and "needs to be sorted out."
It seems to me that reporters need to explain to employers why they are not on this list. That is, what they did at 14-15
But the opinions of Ukrainian journalists:
I already called Anton Gerashchenko <...> they published phones and addresses of the best journalists from around the world, all the most rated media, which were accredited at different times. Anton Gerashchenko says that, they say, journalists are also publishing socially vague information. <...> There are those who wrote about the East battalion, about Boeing, about the crimes of Motorols against humanity. Those who were sitting in the basements, who were tormented. Let's write them all into the separatists.
Patriotism in its best manifestations, or new prospects of a bottomless bottom. What should I think to hang out a database with personal data of BBC, Reuters, AFP, The Independent, The Economist, CNN, Bloomberg, AlJazera, Ar?
Employees of the Peacemaker and a number of Ukrainian politicians published public data from all journalists who received accreditation in the DPR and LPR and called them people who "cooperated with terrorists." I am not on the lists, but there are many of my colleagues in them, my authors who have courage to a difficult time for the country and went to the dangerous zone, risking their lives so that we would recognize a little truth. There are many foreign colleagues who send me Links all morning on news with the signs of the question. And the point is not that someone has something to hide - spit, each of us does not have the skeletons in the closet, which are interesting to write news about. It's different.
Accreditation is not a form of cooperation, but a way of protecting journalists and identification - in case it is inadvertently shot.
What is the accreditation. You can also lay out the base of names and phones of all immigrants, residents of the occupied territories, volunteers who deliver gum for, why stop at journalists? Immediately five millions to clean. Democracy, freedom of speech, that's all.
I'm angry, I am not just angry, I will indignant !!! Anton Gerashchenko proudly dumped the personal data of journalists, who until 2015 worked in the occupied territories of Donbass. Among them there are mine. I never hid that I worked on Danish public television and worked from the other side. I believed that my risk was justified because it was necessary to document and record all the atrocities that the militants created. <...> I'm not going to prove my patriotism. I gave it to my Ukraine, more than I had. And I was vilely betrayed. I will not forgive this. Never. Burn you in hell.
He is completely in solidarity with the position of journalists, outraged by the publication of personal data of reporters accredited by the LPR/DPR.
It is especially outrageous that the stuffing is made, manipulating the term "transparency". Therefore, this is no transparency, but an attempt to arrange a witch hunt. And because on Tuesday the parliament failed (!) The law on strengthening the responsibility of officials who do not fulfill the law on access to public information. And on Wednesday, again, the parliament did not adopt the law on its own (!) Transparent.
It seems that we no longer even notice how we break through the bottom every day.
And all journalists accredited by ISIS and made materials from there = accomplices of terrorists. And, therefore, it is necessary to publish their personal data. Do I understand this logic correctly? If so, then something tells me: it will be a fight against journalists, and by no means with ISIS.
Inadmissible actions for the publication of these journalists. A gross violation of the norms of non -disclosure of personal data of journalists. They just called from the Committee for the Protection of Journalists in New York, preparing a statement. Which of the foreign journalists will risk going to the combat zone. Just outrageous
What Gerashchenko did (in fact, the publication of personal data accredited in the DPR of journalists), in addition to the fact that this is the fact of the biography of Gerashchenko (idiocy biography of an idiotic fact) should have legal consequences for Gerashchenko and his site. And if this does not happen, and if this does not become a precedent in the long history of the walking of idiots to power, then I do not know ... Then we are hopeless
The appeal of journalists - signed by Ukrainian, Russian (such as Pavel Kanygin) and foreign correspondents - publishes the site of Gromadsky television
We, journalists of Ukrainian and foreign media, and representatives of Ukrainian and international media organizations are deeply shocked by the actions of Ukrainian politicians, and employees of the Peacemaker website, who put up personal data to all journalists who received accreditation in the self-proclaimed “DPR / LPR”, calling them people who “cooperate with terrorists” <...> We especially emphasize that accreditation does not mean and never meant the cooperation of journalists with any side of the conflict. Accreditation is a form of protection and security of a journalist.
The action was condemned by both “reporters without borders”, and who fell on the list in the first days of the conflict in Slavyansk Simon Ostrovsky:
Reporters Covering Conflict Zone Are not "Terrorist Facilitates" As Leakers Claimed. My name was in there too. https://t.co/9ka3rtytu4
- Simon Ostrovsky (@simonostrovsky) May 11, 2016
There are already warnings about the possibility of file lawsuits. Gerashchenko himself, however, is not going to make excuses:
I published data on the composition of the so -called ministry, which I do not regret. The data of journalists was published by the group "Peacemaker", a group of anonymous citizens, patriots of Ukraine, - said Gerashchenko in an interview with Gromadsky radio.
A separate group of commentators are supporters of Novorossia and opponents of the Ukrainian authorities and the Maidan. For the most part, they are gloating:
When people were recorded on this site without trial and investigation, the addresses of people were published there and Kalashnikov and Buzin were killed by some strange coincidence - this is nothing wrong.
We are silent. We indulge.
But when journalists, the highest caste - well, yes, this is a problem. Image blow.
Such disgust all this hypocrisy causes no words.
The magazines were broken.
— Большой Брат (@big_b_brother) May 11, 2016
— Один Спамс (@odinspam) May 10, 2016
Fine?
— Боевая фурфура (@dm_e) May 11, 2016
What are you saying?
