Declared a short-list of the Turner Prize

Today, May 12, the names of the four finalists of the Turner Prize are named. They were the artists of Anthea Hamilton, Michael Dean, Helen Marten, Josephine Pride.

According to The Guardian , the most famous sculpture of Hamilton is 5.5-meter naked buttocks, Dean is fond of corrugated windows, Martin's sculptures are called “slippery and elusive”, and Pride invites visitors to his exhibition to ride a toy train.

According to the director of Tate Britain Alex Farkukharson, the work of finalists of the Turner Prize reflect "a world filled with images from the ubiquitous Internet."

The exhibition of finalists will be held from September 27 to January 8 at the Tate London Gallery. The holder of the Turner Prize will be declared in December, he will receive a cash prize of 25 thousand pounds, the remaining finalists - five thousand each.

The Turner Prize is annually awarded the artist working in the UK for the best exhibition or other presentation of his work during the year. The finalists are chosen by the jury under the chairmanship of the director of the Gallery Tate.

Last year, the Turner Prize received an Assemble London team, working in the field of architecture and design, for a project for the reconstruction of residential buildings for the poor in Liverpool.
