Detained on May 11 in Makhachkala, the press secretary of a Salafi mosque, Muhammad Magomedov, was charged with possession of weapons, drugs and explosives. This was reported by the "Caucasian Knot" with reference to his lawyer Shamil Isaev.
Magomedov pleaded not guilty. According to Isaev, during the interrogation he stated that drugs, a grenade and cartridges had been planted on him.
“At the same time, the police detained him on May 11, but the detention was issued only today. I asked to fix it in the protocol,” Isaev said.
Meanwhile, security forces conducted another search in Magomed Magomedov's house today, Tagir Magomedov, the detainee's brother, said. […] “At the same time, during the search, one of the security officials hinted that my brother was overly active, gave various interviews to the press, and talked to the federal media. Apparently, someone in Makhachkala did not like this very much,” the brother of the detainee told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.
