The vocalist of the Moscow Avant-Pop Group Hik Sasha Vinogradova releases a solo album “365 days to Martha”, inspired by the music of Sid Barrett, Patti Smith and Saxophonist Faroa Sanders. “365 days to Martha” - a very personal and sincere record: 10 songs - diary entries for 10 years, simple melodies, thin acoustics and elegant voice of the singer, delicately supported by the double bass, piano, an accordion, Ulyel and guitars. Martha is the little daughter of Sasha Vinogradova, who is dedicated to this album:
Music in me was born from love, from love for a young man, and then for the whole world.
In 2006, I was 17 years old, then the funny song “Rabbit” appeared. She was made as a joke, a musical letter to my lover. He was a musician, so I wanted to speak his language. And my expectations met, the message was heard and understood.
Then, thanks to this person, I discovered a lot of new music, which has become a real revelation for me. Faroa Sanders, Sid Barrett, Alice Coltrain - they lived in my head. The song "Leaf" , by the way, is just written after I listened to "The C Reator h as a M Aster Plan » Sanders . There are so many love, so much beauty and hope, confidence that everything will be fine. I wanted to convey this state with music.
I wrote the song “Last D Ay” when I was 19 or 20. Then my friend fell ill with leukemia, and we all gathered for his surgery with the whole world. And, by the way, they collected, everything ended safely: he is alive and well. So, in the song-about the fact that we can go far, far away at any moment and everything that we built here is clap-and it was sunk into the unknown, so it remains to be just to be observed. And today I am 27, and only thanks to my little March did I learn a little just to be.
Every day she shows me that every moment is precious.
All other songs are written by different people and places that were in my life, when thoughts and emotions poured over the edge. I am an ordinary person, I have feelings that sometimes I want to sing about. Well, or scream. :-) So it becomes easier.
Music is an amazing artistic tool. In order to create it, nothing special is needed. It is in us: the heart taps the rhythm, blood runs through the veins - this is all the music inside us. It turns out that we ourselves are music, which can be shared if desired.
