The trial of Roman Roslovtsev

On May 16 at 12:20 at 11:00 a.m., a hearing on the case of activist Roman Roslovtsev will begin at the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow. For walking on Red Square in a Putin mask with a poster "I'm not afraid of 212.1," Roslovtsev is charged with Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (repeated violation at a public event). The activist faces a fine of 150,000 to 300,000 rubles or administrative arrest for up to 30 days.

In April, the Tverskoy Court fined Roslovtsev a total of 30,000 rubles for two previous outings.

Roslovtsev faces a criminal case for repeated violations of the law on holding public events. The activist himself says that he deliberately creates an absurd situation in which law enforcement officers will be forced to open a criminal case against him, providing for up to five years in prison, for a completely curious reason.
