The State Duma prohibits the import of drugs for personal use without purpose

The State Duma adopted in the second, main reading a bill that limits the import of a number of drugs for personal use by citizens. It is reported by RIA "Novosti".

We are talking about drugs that contain potent or toxic substances that are not related to drugs. They are supposed to be allowed only if there is a doctor’s appointment.

The appointment must indicate the name of the drug and its dosage. Moreover, if the document is drawn up in a foreign language, the bill requires a notarized translation of the appointment into Russian.

The exception is made only for those drugs that are released without a doctor’s prescription, in particular ointments and creams with bee or snake poison. The bill allows them to import them into the country without any documents.

The explanatory note says that the bill is developed "in order to exclude the possibility of improper law enforcement in relation to imported toxic substances."

In the State Duma, the document has to go through the third reading. Then he will be sent for approval to the Council of People's Commissars.
