In Moscow, a girl was detained for suspicion of promoting homosexuality.

At about 20:00 on the Arbat in Moscow, activist Ayten Yakubova was detained, who was distributing leaflets after the end of a flash mob in defense of LGBT rights. Two women approached the activist, read the leaflets and turned to the police with a complaint about the promotion of “non-traditional family values”. After that, Ayten Yakubova was detained and, together with the women, was taken to the Arbat police station.

UPD. As Yakubova told OVD-Info by phone, at the request of the police officers, she wrote an explanatory note about what she was doing on the Arbat. Police officers explained to her that she was temporarily detained to clarify the circumstances, but no charges had yet been filed.

UPD. The activist was released without a protocol being drawn up.
