The Dzerzhinsky District Court of St. Petersburg recognized the St. Petersburg art critic Elena Basner Innocent in fraud in the sale of a fake picture, RIA Novosti
reports . According to investigators, in 2009, Basner gave a deliberately false assessment of the authenticity of the picture of the avant-garde artist Boris Grigoryev “in a restaurant”. A fake was sold for 250 thousand dollars. The original was stored in the storerooms of the Russian Museum. Basner was detained on January 31, 2014. The accusation demanded that she be reached by four years in prison in a general regime colony.
