Yulia Vysotskaya plans to open a chain of grocery stores “Eat at Home”

Actress and TV presenter Yulia Vysotskaya plans to open the first grocery stores of the Eat at Home chain by the fall, increase the number of network outlets to 10-15 by the end of the year, and 30 by the end of 2017. As the general director of Eat at Home Retail LLC told Kommersant » (EDR, project manager) Evgeniy Petrov, for the first stores the company began to look for premises with an area of 40 to 100 sq. m. m. The project will be developed at its own expense, he emphasized. EDR expects the investment to return within two to three years. The company will develop some stores independently, and others through franchises. Petrov recalled that seven stores are already operating under the “Eat at Home” banner; they sell dishes, kitchen utensils and some groceries, which account for about 60% of the chain’s turnover.

Taking into account the purchase of goods and non-standard retail equipment, opening one store can cost at least 5 million rubles, believes Mikhail Burmistrov, general director of the Infoline-Analytics agency. If the chain manages to open 30 points, the cost of its development in the next two years could amount to at least 150 million rubles, the publication writes.

In the spring of 2015, it became known that brothers Nikita Mikhalkov and Andrei Konchalovsky wrote a letter to President Vladimir Putin, in which they outlined a plan to create a federal network of domestic fast food “Eat at Home!” The artists asked the president to provide support for the project at the highest government level. As part of the project, it is proposed to build two kitchen factories, open 41 cafes and 91 points of sale of finished products. The authors of the idea expect to recoup the network in less than five years. Estimated investments in the project are 971.8 million rubles. The idea was not continued.
