The author of the video criticized Kadyrov tried to kidnap in Dagestan

Ramzan Dzhalaldinova, the author of the video message to Vladimir Putin with criticism of Ramzan Kadyrov, tried to kidnap at the exit from the mosque in Dagestan. As the Moscow Komsomolets newspaper writes on May 18 with reference to unnamed sources in the republic, the incident occurred on May 15.

Residents of the Tsumadinsky district of Dagestan, who came along with Jalaldin to the mosque, tried to “capture Jalaldinov for sending to Chechnya,” MK reports. According to the publication, the kidnappers were prevented by other parishioners of the mosque, and now Jalaldinov is in a safe place.

Earlier on the same day, Jalaldinov held negotiations through the chairman of the People’s Assembly of Dagestan Hizhsri Shikhsaidov and the State Duma deputy from Chechnya Adam Delimkhanov. According to MK, Jalaldinov tried to agree with the leadership of Chechnya to free the detained residents of his native village Kenha in exchange for the termination of his appeals. Delimkhanov in response demanded that Jalaldinov be immediately taken to Grozny.

In April, Jalaldinov published a video message with a complaint about living conditions in the village of Kenhi, after which, fearing for his security, he left for Dagestan. On the night of May 13, his house was burned , and the family was taken to Dagestan. The head of Chechnya later accused Jalaldinov of taking the family himself and "imitated the arson of his home."

Later it became known that the village was cordoned off and access to it is limited, and its inhabitants are called for interrogations to find out where Jalaldinov is. The spokeswoman for the head of Chechnya Alvi Karimov, in turn, called the reports of Kenha's cordon "intentional misinformation and outright lies." The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic also stated the absence of restrictions on entry into the village. As Moscow Komsomolets writes on May 18, journalists are not allowed into the village, demanding permission from them from the Ministry of Press of Chechnya.
