A preliminary hearing was held on the Sevastopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case

Today, May 18, a preliminary hearing was held in the Sevastopol case of Hizb ut-Tahrir against four Crimean Tatars accused of terrorism. Four people are involved in the case - Ruslan Zeytullayev, Nuri Primov, Rustem Vaitov and Ferat Saifullaev, who are charged under article 205.5 of the Criminal Code (organization of the activities of a terrorist organization and participation in the activities of such an organization).

The meeting was held via videoconferencing between Simferopol and Rostov. The lawyers and the defendants were in the building of the Crimean Garrison Court of Simferopol, and the judge was in the North Caucasus District Military Court of Rostov-on-Don.

As a result of the meeting, the judge decided to refuse to satisfy all the petitions filed by the defense. As lawyer Emil Kurbedinov wrote on his Facebook page, the term of arrest for all the defendants was extended until October.
