On May 18, the Tverskoy District Court found Yuri Merzlov, who was detained on April 30 while walking along Red Square wearing a Putin mask and a T-shirt with the inscription "I'm not afraid of 212.1", guilty of violating the procedure for holding a public event (under the fifth part of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The court ruled to fine Merzlov 10,000 rubles and to “destroy” the mask and T-shirt confiscated from the activist during his detention.
