The court rejected the claim to the prosecutor's office that did not find violations of the shares of the shares

On May 18, the Leninsky District Court of Stavropol rejected the lawsuit of five local activists against the prosecutor's office, who did not find violations of the city administration refusals to agree on three shares. It was about the picket against hostilities in the southeast of Ukraine, planned on September 21, 2014, about the demonstration and rally, which were planned to be held on February 18, 2015 as part of the “Vesna” anti-crisis march, and about the protest picket scheduled for March 1.

As one of the plaintiffs Nick Kobyan told the OVD-Info, the court considered that the prosecutor's office gave an “adequate answer”, and the plaintiffs could not prove that the refusals of the administration were illegal.

The coordination of the event on September 21, 2014 was refused “in connection with the holding of city events on the preparation of the city’s celebration on the October Revolution,” and on September 18, the chief applicant, Yabloko activist Kirill Bob, was awarded a warning, in addition, all applicants were called and asked that they would not be carried out without approval, said Kakobyan.

The demonstration was not agreed on February 18, because “the route of the demonstration shows the places where the meetings, rallies, processions and demonstrations are prohibited”, the rally-due to sanitary cleaning work. On March 1, they did not allow a picket, accusing the applicants of giving a notification later than they needed. According to Kakobyan, the applicants otherwise counted on days than local authorities.

At the end of March 2015, activists filed a complaint with the prosecutor’s office, where they stated that there were no grounds for prosecutorial response.

For the first time, the claim to the prosecutor's office was filed in the fall of 2015. On October 14, activists refused to satisfy the claim: the Leninsky District Court considered that the plaintiffs "did not have the right to submit independent requirements for recognition by illegal inaction of the city of Stavropol for their appeal without appropriate dispute in the court of decisions of the local government." They challenged the court decision in the regional court, which on January 14, 2016 canceled this decision and sent the case back. However, on May 18, the Leninsky District Court decided similar to the first time.
