The EgyptAir plane's sudden maneuver before disappearing from radar could be explained by an incident in the cockpit. This opinion was expressed by a British aviation expert

As the BBC reports , citing the former head of Virgin Atlantic, Paul Charles, the 360-degree turn of the missing A320 may indicate that some kind of incident occurred in the cockpit.

“The airliner was not necessarily hit by a missile or an explosive device went off on board. It can be assumed that the pilot of the airliner was involved in some kind of incident,” Charles said.

The version of the terrorist attack on board the A320 was supported in an interview with radio station Europe1 by French expert Jean-Paul Truadec. “A technical problem, such as a fire or a faulty engine, does not lead to a sudden crash; the team has time to react. But the team remained silent and did not react in any way. It looks like something terrible happened and we can definitely assume it was an attack,” he said.

Egypt's Minister of Civil Aviation Sherif Fathi did not rule out any of the possible causes of the A320 crash, but clarified that the aircraft had undergone full maintenance.

The A320, flying from Paris to Cairo, disappeared from radar screens at 3:39 Moscow time when flying near the Greek islands of Kassos and Karpathos. According to the Greek Ministry of Defense, before disappearing, he made sharp maneuvers and descent, 90 degrees to the left and then 360 degrees to the right.

The crash site of the plane has not yet been determined; search teams have not yet found any debris from the plane.

There were 66 people on board, including 15 French citizens.
