The chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the State Duma, Alexei Pushkov, believes that after the justification of some Russian athletes previously convicted of Meldonia, the leadership of the World Anti -Doping Agency (WADA) should resign.

"Efimov and a number of Russian athletes were justified after the scandal with Meldonius. This means that WADA is responsible for the scandal and should change the leadership," Pushkov wrote in the Twitter microblog .

He also noted that the WADA leaders should be resigned "for damage to the reputation of our athletes, violation of their rights and incompetence."

Efimova was removed from the competition in connection with positive doping tests on Meldonium, which from January 1, 2016 was included in the WADA list of prohibited drugs.
