The Chinese company Xiaomi has expanded the range of goods produced, announcing its first consumer drone, equipped with a camera, the Phone Arena reports.
A quadrocopter called Xiaomi Mi Drone outwardly resembles many drones presented on the market (for example, the DJI Phantom line). The device is equipped with a 360-degree camera posted on a special suspension and capable of shooting a video with a resolution of 4K (a version with a cheaper camera is also provided).
According to TechCrunch , a regular drone battery, the capacity of which is 5100 mAh, provides a drone up to 27 minutes of autonomous flight. Mi Drone flight range is 3 km, and in the case of a signal from the remote control, the drone independently returns to the take -off site.
A distinctive feature of the Xiaomi drone is its maintainability. So, some details of the device, including rotors and camera, can be easily disconnected for replacing or transporting a drone.
You can get a general idea of Mi Drone thanks to a small demonstration video.
It is worth noting that, like many other products of the Chinese company, Mi Drone has a price attractive against the backdrop of competitors. So, the cost of a drone with a camera capable of shooting a FullHD video will be approximately $ 380, and a version with a 4K camera will cost $ 460. At the same time, the company said that the funds for the production of a cheaper version will be raised using crowdfunding, and the advanced modification will be available for beta testing in late July. The deadlines for the full appearance of the drone in the Chinese market and beyond are not specified.
