On May 26, the Belarusian electronic artist Mustelide , successfully touring in European festivals, released the animated arthouse of the SPI. The director of the video was Vitaly Sidoruk - a famous Minsk animator, now living in Slovenia. “SPI” is a title composition from the second album Mustelide .
The sound concept of the song "SPI" maximally displays the state of sleep. Samples of alarms, construction projects, city walks and home gatherings are woven into a collage from analog synthesizers and recorded vocalizes. And the basis of the sound of the song was a recording of steps accidentally found in the old recorder. Apparently, the recording turned on by accident during some kind of walk, but how and under what circumstances this happened, I do not know. Or maybe it was not me. And not in this reality.
© Mustelide The song “ SPI ” , like a closed system itself, turned out to be a cool basis for creating the same closed mechanics video, in which an Easter clock, turned not outside, but inside, sits tightly. I would describe the style of this video by the term “art-rhm”, but, of course, to solve to the audience. I hope that no matter how paradoxically it may sound that they will not fall asleep behind viewing.
