Sent! It seems to me that it is this word that is most accurately describes the reason why, as used to say, for the entire “progressive humanity” on May 25, 2016 it became the day of a large holiday! The Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko, stolen by the Russian special services and kept in Russian captivity for many months, gained freedom and returned to Kyiv!

And this, of course, is a great reason to congratulate the entire Ukrainian people on a wonderful victory! Of course, we don’t know what Nadezhda Savchenko will become a politician (and I recall, a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and a deputy of the Ukrainian Rada), but there is no doubt that the country has gained an honest, fearless, fundamental person whose opinion will listen to the world. Another important point: in the coming years, Savchenko is the most important factor in intra -Ukrainian policy.

Today, many experts Putin’s consent to change the Ukrainian pilot for two Russian saboteurs perceive as a signal about a possible change in Russia's position in relation to the occupied regions of the southeast of Ukraine. I would not in a hurry with such conclusions.

The whole epic with the capture of Nadezhda Savchenko and her holding in Russia is one of the largest failures of the presidential administration in its entire history. What did you want? They wanted to add colors to a wide propaganda campaign called Donbassnash. Here, they say, you are a Ukrainian gunner who is guilty of the death of civilians. She pleads her guilt and sincerely repents of his deed. Is this, dear Russian citizens, not convincing evidence of the Bandera essence of the current Kyiv regime, which continues to inhibit and even exterminate the Russian -speaking population of the Shakhthsky Territory? But none of this happened, and what did you get at the exit? And they received a demonstration of the amazing power of the spirit of the enemy, an unprecedented international resonance and, apparently, the most powerful pressure on Vladimir Putin. In addition, a politician appeared in Ukraine, whose weight and authority make any excessive concessions of Ukraine impossible in the near future in terms of resolving the conflict in the Donbass. Nadezhda Savchenko will be fundamentally and consistent to fight for the restoration of the territorial integrity of his country, and not a single Ukrainian politician, including President Poroshenko, will be able to ignore this factor.

However, I have listed by no means the main consequences of all this AP operation jointly carried out with the security forces. The main thing is the monstrous humiliation of Vladimir Putin. And this Vladimir Putin will never forgive Vladislav Surkov, who is responsible for the ideological content of the Donbass campaign.

What kind of exchange was the whole world observed on May 25? Two Russian citizens convicted of sabotage activities in the territory of the neighboring state, which their own country abandoned and whose names in Russia are practically not known, are changed to politics, I am not afraid of the word, a world scale, which will now overcome the whole civilized world with a story about the horrors of the Russian occupation of its native country. To say that this exchange is not equivalent - to say nothing! He is a flagrant, and this circumstance cannot be hidden. But more recently, voices that urged Vladimir Putin to squeeze the maximum possible benefit from the current situation and sell Nadezhda Savchenko to the West at the maximum price. For example, to release a Ukrainian pilot in exchange for a full -scale abolition of sanctions and a return to the dialogue regime with the West on an equal footing. Such a script did not seem fantastic at all. And what did you get in the end? Two retired Gereushniks captured in the country in which Russia officially does not conduct any fighting. Already today there is a displeased grumbling from the “patriotic” environment - the exchange is perceived by “patriots” as an obvious failure, as the surrender of previously won positions.

So why was Putin forced to surrender and actually released Nadezhda Savchenko? It seems to me that everything that happened is the best illustrates the following thesis: today from Vladimir Putin you can achieve anything by direct and hard pressure. And in this sense, the story with the liberation of Savchenko inspires a certain optimism. Her happy resolution means that the West still has an instrument with which he can influence Vladimir Putin’s behavior and even force the latter to take murderous decisions for his own image. One can only hope that the civilized world will continue to use it.

Good, as we know, does not always defeat evil. But in the case of a happy deliverance of Nadezhda Savchenko, this is exactly what happened. Today, Ukraine has gained a man who is ready to give his life for the interests of his country and proved this with a business. With which I congratulate the Ukrainian people with all my heart.
