A teenager was detained in Kurgan for holding a picket with his mouth sewn shut in support of Pavlensky

In Kurgan, the police detained a minor local resident who staged a picket with his mouth sewn up in support of the action artist Pyotr Pavlensky. The video of the detention was published in the Typical Kurgan group on VKontakte.

As can be seen in the photos posted in the group, he was holding a poster with the text: "Pyotr Pavlensky's action was a replay of the famous gesture of Varg Vikernes" (Petr Pavlensky went to his first "Shov" action in 2012 with his mouth sewn up and a poster "Pussy Riot Action was a reenactment of the famous action of Jesus Christ (Matt. 21:12–13)”).

Mediazona reports that the young man's name is Gleb Astafiev. In 2015, he became the hero of the film “Krovostok. Dumbbell", filmed by the publication. He came from the Kurgan region on the messenger to Yaroslavl to support the Krovostok group when the group's complaint about the ban of its site was considered in the local court.

• Action artist Pyotr Pavlensky held the Seam action in support of Pussy Riot in 2012. On May 19, 2016, he was found guilty of vandalism for the Svoboda rally held in St. Petersburg in February 2014. Then he set fire to the tires on the Malo-Konyushenny Bridge, imitating mass demonstrations on the Kiev Maidan.

• Varg Vikernes is a Norwegian musician, creator of the black metal project Burzum. He was convicted of the 1993 murder of Mayhem guitarist Estein Auchet (Euronymus) and was released in 2009. Vikernes, who is known as a neo-pagan, has been identified as involved in the stave church burnings in Norway in the early 1990s.
