The head of the Vologda branch of the Progress Party was given another five days of arrest

The Vologda city court sentenced Yevgeny Domozhirov to another 5 days of administrative arrest. This time he was found guilty under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to the lawful order of a police officer).

Earlier, on May 26, Judge of the Vologda City Court Elena Bakhareva sentenced the head of the Vologda branch of the Progress Party to 15 days of administrative arrest under Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (organizing or holding a public event without filing a notification of a public event in the prescribed manner). However, later the judge corrected her own decision by sending Domozhirov to serve a term of 10 days, since the maximum term of arrest provided for by the specified part of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses is exactly 10 days.

Yevgeny Domozhirov was detained on the evening of May 25 after meeting with the defenders of the green zone on Fryazinovskaya Street. Protocols were drawn up against him for violating the rules for holding a public event (Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and disobeying the lawful demand of a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). He spent the night before the trial in a special detention center.

On May 19, Domozhirov was attacked by a man armed with a traumatic pistol, who fired several shots at the politician.
