Deputies and senators will be able to order “everything you need” to live in official apartments in Moscow

A bill is introduced to the State Duma, which transfers to both chambers

legislation Vladimir Pligin.

Today, according to the law, those parliamentarians who do not have their own housing in Moscow, for the period of senatorial and deputy powers, are issued an apartment with furniture and telephone, Interfax reports.

Pligin offers to amend that such an apartment should
be equipped not only with furniture and phone, but "everything necessary for
accommodation. "At the same time, the list of items necessary for living will have to establish each chamber independently in agreement with the management of the President of the Russian Federation.

necessary for living, additional financing
This bill is not required, ”the explanatory
note.

The deputy explains that the preparation of the bill was caused by the comments of the Accounts Chamber following the audit of the expenditure of managers of budgetary
funds in 2013-2014 for the operation of administrative buildings, including
number of service apartments of parliamentarians. The auditors then, in particular, indicated that the department did not have legal grounds for buying air conditioners in official housing to deputies due to subsidies allocated for other purposes.
