The first days of summer in St. Petersburg will be warm, but overall June will be much rainier than usual. This was announced by the chief weather forecaster of St. Petersburg, Alexander Kolesov, during today's press conference.

Forecasters from Roshydromet specified that on June 1 and 2 the thermometer will rise to 24-25 degrees in the Northern capital. There will be no precipitation in the city these days. On Friday, June 3, the daytime temperature will be 24 degrees Celsius, with light intermittent rain.

It will be cooler in the city over the weekend. On Saturday, June 4, in the afternoon the thermometer will drop to 18 degrees. This day will be slightly cloudy, without precipitation. On Sunday, June 5, in the afternoon the bar will drop another two degrees. It will be cloudy with occasional light rain.

According to A. Kolesov, next week night frosts are possible, the average daytime temperature is 13-17 degrees. But in the middle of the month it will become warmer again, Fontanka writes , citing the city’s chief weather forecaster.

But the amount of precipitation in June will be 100-140%. “There will be a lot of precipitation, but in July and August, on the contrary, there will be little,” Kolesov said. This is an anomaly as July and August are traditionally the rainier months. The average air temperature in summer will be 18-19 degrees. For comparison, last year it was 17 degrees.
