Six thousand employees of Abramovich's enterprise declared an “Italian strike”

Workers of the Kachkanar mining and processing plant, controlled by Evraz, announced an "Italian strike". This is reported by RBC with reference to the leader of the trade union of the plant Anatoly Pyankov.

The workers are dissatisfied with the new bonus system, due to which the actual salary of the plant's employees will be reduced by 7-15 thousand rubles. The average salary of workers at the enterprise is 47 thousand rubles.

According to Pyankov, almost six thousand people are participating in the "Italian strike". According to the trade union leader, employees of the enterprise have blocked corporate SIM cards in order to prevent the strike.

In 2007, a similar “Italian strike” at Kachkanarsky GOK resulted in a 70 percent drop in daily output and a $1 million drop in revenue. Pyankov estimates that this year, workers may be able to reduce output by 50 percent by going on strike.

For example, some electric locomotives do not have a locomotive speedometer, and this is a gross violation of safety instructions, says Pyankov. But often engineering and technical personnel allow the driver to work, since everyone needs to work out, everyone needs to feed their families, he points out. And while working according to the rules (“Italian strike”), the driver refuses to drive such a locomotive.
