Applications about the incident were sent to the prosecutor's office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This is stated in the message on the party’s website .
"Nasibullin went to the commission meeting in the city administration of Urai, when the unknown person ran up and sprayed the gas in the face of the deputy, after which the parliamentarian lost consciousness," the press release said. Now the politician is in the city hospital and is undergoing a medical examination.
The party associates believe that the attack was committed in connection with the political activity of the deputy. As the curator of the region in the State Duma from the LDPR Vladimir Sysoev stated, "the elections have not yet been announced, and the intimidation of active and uncomfortable opposition politicians in the Khanty -Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Ugra is in full swing." The parliamentarian sent a telegram addressed to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev with a request to take an investigation into personal control.
According toRBC-Tyumen , the deputy of the Tyumen regional Duma from the LDPR Evgeny Plesikin believes that the attack on Nasibullin occurred due to the fact that he protested against the purchase by the mayor of the private shopping center for 180 million rubles under the creation of the House of Culture. The politician also raised the problem of lack of medical personnel in the Hospital of Uray.
The 38-year-old Leonard Nasibullin is a deputy of the Duma of the city of Urali Fifth convocation from the LDPR on a non-permanent basis.
