
In Moscow, in the 86th year of his life, a Soviet journalist-internationalist, orientalist Arabist Farid Seyful-Mulukov, died. This is reported by Vesti.ru.
Seiful-Mulukov was born in Uzbekistan in a Tatar family. He graduated with honors from the Moscow Institute of Oriental Studies. He worked in the journal "International Life", in the publishing house of oriental literature and in the magazine Modern East.
In 1964, Seyful-Mulukov became a political assistant to central television and radio broadcasting. Since the late 1960s, he led the building of Soviet television and radio in Lebanon, then he was in charge of the Corctic in Switzerland. Seiful -Mulukov is the author of many reports from around the world, one of the leading programs "Today in the World" and "International Panorama".
Seiful -Mulukov is one of the creators of the Mayak radio station.
At one time, Seyiful-Mulukov met with prominent heads of states, such as King Jordan Hussein, head of the Palestine Liberation Organization Yasir Arafat, heads of Afghanistan Taraki and Najibullah, Kubinsky leader Fidel Castro.
Seiful -Mulukov is the author of the books “Birth of the Iraqi Republic”, “Iraq yesterday and today”, “Portuguese colonies in Africa”, “Reporting from the Fire Line” and others. In 1981, he received the USSR State Prize for documentaries about Afghanistan.
