Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia is ready to agree with the proposal to arm the OSCE observers in the Donbass, but only with personal weapons - pistols. According to Lavrov, pistols can be issued to observers who control places where heavy weapons are located, removed from the line of contact between the parties to the conflict under the terms of the Minsk agreements.
Ukraine insists on the deployment of an OSCE armed police mission in the Donbass, which, in particular, would control the border with Russia. Lavrov said that such an agreement does not exist.
