Ukrainian Serhiy Litvinov demanded an official apology from Russia for illegal criminal prosecution. He submitted the corresponding statement through his lawyer Viktor Parshutkin to the Prosecutor General's Office, reports . Radio Liberty
“I was unlawfully detained from August 20, 2014 to July 8, 2015... A comprehensive psychological and psychophysiological forensic examination of August 3, 2015 established that I was tortured in order to force me to sign interrogation protocols drawn up by investigators with a “confessional” testimony in the murder at least 39 people. The examination also established that these “confessions” were not recorded from my words, that is, the investigators falsified the case materials. In this regard, I demand to bring me, on behalf of the Russian Federation, an official apology for the harm caused as a result of criminal prosecution, ”Litvinov wrote in his appeal.
According to lawyer Viktor Parshutkin, if his client's statement is ignored, the inaction of the prosecutor's office will be challenged in court. “Litvinov is being held in Novocherkassk in solitary confinement. The money that the Ukrainian consuls transfer to him is taken from him by local authorities with the help of the SIZO staff,” the lawyer said. - Now Litvinov was given a TV set. So he learned about the release of Savchenko from the TV news. The application is the beginning. In case of silence or refusal, the inaction of the prosecutor's office will be challenged in court. In a few days, a civil suit will be filed in court for moral damages and a lawsuit against the Rossiya TV channel and Dmitry Kiselev for libel.”
