The regional deputy assured the journalists that he was never judged and not prosecuted. As evidence, he demonstrated a certificate of the absence of a criminal record and the number of the criminal case under which he was a witness.
“There was an episode in my life when I ended up in the wrong place and at that time and became a witness to criminal showdowns,” Maleev said. - This did not concern me, I was asked to drive there to assess whether it was possible to buy one team at AvtoVAZ for state bonds. We are talking about the “arrow” of two gang groups - the Samara organized crime group “Besa” and the Togliatti organized crime group “partners”, which occurred on August 19, 1994 in a suburb of Samara, in the area of the Dubka camp site. Did the investigator have at least some reason to suspect Maleev of complicity in organizing an ambush and the murder of two Togliatti residents? Alas, there were. This directly follows from the testimony of Maleev himself. We read the manuscript “Protocol of interrogation of the accused ”, fastened by Maleev’s signature: “From my words it is written correctly, I have read it.”
Maleev told the investigator that on August 18, at about 6 pm met with a certain Yuri Kalemalkin (according to investigators, an active member of the organized crime group) and shared his plans that on August 19 he was going to Togliatti to “resolve issues in relation to vehicles”. We agreed to go together. The investigator wrote down in the protocol: “Kalemalkin ... said ... 08/19/1994. At 13 o’clock he will be on the highway, he will have a meeting there with a person. He also asked us to drive up to this place at 13 o’clock ” (hereinafter - quotes from the“ Protocol of Interrogation of the accused Maleev V.M ”of September 23, 1994 - I. M. ).
Maleev drove up to the place of the meeting at 12.55. The investigator meticulously recorded in the protocol that by that time several cars had gathered at the “oak tree”, in which there were people who accidentally turned out to be familiar to Maleev. The accused listed the names, stamps, the color of the cars and even painted the scheme, who stood where: “... on the side of the road there were Audi -100 cars, white, near the car there was Kornev. <...> He approached him, asked if he had seen Kalemalkin, Kornev replied that he was not yet. Kornev wanted to drink, we approached the Tutartz car, gave him a bottle of juice. Then I saw that the VAZ -2106 car had driven white, who arrived on it, I did not see. Then the Mitsubishi-Pajero car drove up in a gray color-Kalemalkin Yura and Chemist Yura arrived on it.
And here Maleev actually admitted that he was the initiator to “move out of the road” and drive towards the Dubka camp site, where, I recall, the participants of the “arrow” were waiting for an ambush. Investigator Sabaev wrote in the protocol: "... I went to Kalemalkin and said:" Why did you collect the crowd here? " I must say that they go somewhere from the track. ” Someone supported me and said: “We must move out,” and pointed to the road leading to the T/B “Oak”.
But Maleev himself did not go to the touristase right away: “Tutartz remained on the bend, I, Kalemalkin and some other guy with whom he arrived, I did not notice. Judging by the materials of the criminal case No. 9403934, which was at the disposal of the editorial office, Vyacheslav Maleev, of course, could not know that the Samara bandits, inviting the Togliatti colleagues to the “arrow”, prepared an ambush for them.
