The Festival "Kinotavr" opened

On Monday, June 6, the opening ceremony of the 27th Open Russian Film Festival “Kinotavr” took place in Sochi.

At the opening, the almanac “Petersburg. Only for love ”, which included seven cinemas, shot by Avdotya Smirnova, Renata Litvinova, Anna Parmas, Oksana Bychkova, Axinya Gog, Natalya Nazarova and Natalya Kudryashova, Interfax reports.

The honorary prize of the festival “For artistic contribution to the Russian and world cinema” was awarded to the director and screenwriter Sergei Bodrov.

In the main competition program "Kinotavra" this year is 14 full -length films, nine of them are debuts:

• "Doctor", dir. Gosha Kutsenko (debut);
• "Year of literature", dir. Olga Stolpovskaya;
• "Zoology", Ivan I. Tverdovsky;
• "Ivan", dir. Alena Davydova (debut);
• "Collector", dir. Alexey Krasovsky (debut);
• "Lights of a large village", dir. Ilya Teacher (debut);
• “After you,” dir. Anna Matison;
• “Wake me up,” dir. Guillaume Protsenko (debut);
• "Dream Fish", dir. Anton Biljo (debut);
• "Pupil", dir. Kirill Serebrennikov;
• "Good boy", dir. Oksana Karas;
• "Man from the future", dir. Roman Artemyev (debut);
• "Alien work", dir. Denis Shabaev (debut);
• "I can knit", dir. Nadezhda Stepanova with the participation of Sergei Ivanov (debut).

The jury “Kinotavra-2016” includes director Nikolai Lebedev (chairman), film critic Nina Zarkha, operator Sergey Machilsky, screenwriter Anna Parmas, director and producer Dzhanik Fayziev and actors Sergey Shakurov and Maria Shalaeva.

Winners of the competitive program "Kinotavr. A short meter ”, in which 26 films participate, will be determined by producer Elena Glikman, director Zhora Kryzhnikov, actress Daria Ekamasova and film critic Larisa Malyukova.

The Kinotavr festival will last until June 13.
