Domodedovo paid the first compensation to victims of the terrorist attack
On June 7, Domodedovo Airport transferred compensation to 14 victims of the 2011 terrorist attack. It is reported by Interfax.
“Similar procedures are being carried out with respect to a group of more than 40 applicants, whose interests are represented by lawyer Igor Trunov,” said airport spokesman Anatoly Khodorkovsky.
TASS reports that the amount of compensation is a trade secret. According to a representative of Domodedovo, "we are talking about significant amounts." The lawyer of the victims, Igor Trunov, said that the money had not yet been received into their accounts.
According to the statutory documents, the Aviation Charitable Foundation will send donations in the form of lump-sum payments in favor of persons recognized as victims in the criminal case of the Domodedovo terrorist attack.
- On May 17, the leadership of Domodedovo and representatives of the victims of the terrorist act entered into an agreement on the payment of compensation. Earlier, Kommersant reported that after compensation for damage, the victims are expected to withdraw their claims against the airport management. In total, more than 70 people contacted the hotline of the charitable foundation created to pay the victims, TASS reports.
