A Samara resident was arrested for stealing a Chaika car belonging to the Prosecutor General's Office.

The Savelovsky Court of Moscow arrested Anton Ryzhov, a resident of Samara, for two months, accused of hijacking Chaika belonging to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.

The investigator asked for the arrest of Ryzhov because he is registered "in a remote region of Russia" and has no official income, reports Interfax . At the same time, the investigation and the prosecutor's office refused to take into account the fact that he has three dependent children.

Ryzhov himself told the court that he did not intend to hide and was ready to compensate for the damage caused. He also asked not to arrest the second defendant in the case, Sergei Mitrofanov. “I was the initiator of all this, he is not to blame for anything,” Interfax quoted Ryzhov as saying.

During the meeting, the detainee behaved calmly, was serious, answered briefly and to the point. Ryzhov told the court that prior to his arrest, he worked as a musician, sound technician, and lived at the rehearsal base with his friend Sergei Mitrofanov (the second detainee in the case).
