
In the village of Zheleznovodsk on Wednesday, an activist of the "Stavropol Eve of Rus'" Roman Varyshev was detained in the village of Zheleznovodsk. This was reported by the "Caucasian Knot" with reference to the leader of the organization - Dmitry Chernov.
According to Chernov, the activist was detained after the search, the reason for which was the case of the misuse of budget funds, which is a defendant of which the former head of one of the districts of Stavropol. Varyshev was the executive director of the company that performed work by order of the administration. Earlier, the activist was already summoned for interrogation in this case.
Meanwhile, during the search, the security forces seized a number of books from Varyshev, explaining that they were subjected to expertise for extremism. The search was carried out very rudely, Chernov noted.
Earlier, Varyshev headed the Center for the Development of Russian Ethnic Culture "Rarog". This structure was in particular the fight against corruption. The authorities forced the activist to close the Rarog, after the organization arranged public hearings to which she invited the head of the administration to report on the facts of corruption. Chernov did not specify whether the head of Inozemtsev, Zheleznovodsk or other municipality was in mind.
Searches also took place at the houses of Chernov in the city of Lermontov and in the office of Vecha. The reason for the activist’s search was a suspicion of financing an extremist structure, namely the World Congress of Ukrainians, which was included in the list of “undesirable” organizations in July last year. At the same time, Chernov assured, after including the taste in this list of "undesirable" organizations, he stopped any contacts with him.
The real reason for the searches, according to the assumption of the Veche leader, could be his recent foreign trip, in which he was more than a month. Chernov returned home on June 3.
At home, the activist behaved correctly. The owner himself was not on the spot - his mother met the security forces. Chernov’s computer and mobile phone were belonging to his son, and the operatives did not take them, but went to the office to the activist. Office equipment and certain documents were seized there.
"Stavropol Veche Rus" unites the followers of Slavic neo -humanism. In August 2015, in various settlements of Stavropol, at least 19 searches were carried out in a day with supporters of this ideology. During the searches, the security forces seized books. Against five citizens - Igor Litvinenko, his sisters Galina Litvinenko, Alexander Semenov, Anton Gavrishev and Klyuchantseva - the case was opened under paragraph "in" Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (arousal of hatred or enmity with an organized group).
