The House of Culture "Do yourself" will become a platform for non -profit projects

At the end of June 2016 , the Culture House of Culture “Dams” will open in Moscow - a permanent site for “lower” initiatives of Moscow. The initiators of the project promise that in their space activists will be able to arrange events without paying for renting a premises.

DC “Do yourself” will work in several thematic areas: tactical urbanism, protection of public interests, art in the city, urban ecology, integration of excluded people and communities into the life of the city.

At its base, processing workshops, a store of designer things from recyclables, cafes in the “Open Kitchen” format, the artistic workshop, the “Samosobrase” format, will operate on its base.

The creators of the site themselves will also conduct their own educational programs in the format of interdisciplinary laboratories to include new topics in the city agenda and the development of micro -regions for the problems of the city. Also in the recreation center, the authors of new ideas for the city will be able to get expert consultations.

The project is planned to be launched at the end of June and hold “Delisamimit - 2016” there .

The site is located on the territory of the former printing house "Pravda" at the address: Moscow, st. Pravda, 24, p. 7.

For five years , the platform of urban actions will organize various events with the aim of developing the themes of “lower” informal initiatives and movements to improve the city.
