The famous actor and director Mel Gibson, together with the screenwriter Randall Wallace, is working on the continuation of the film "Passion of Christ", reports The Hollywood Reporter . According to Wallace, in the sequel we are talking about the resurrection of Jesus.
“I always wanted to tell this story.“ The Passion of Christ ”is the beginning, but there are still many stories on this topic,” said Wallace, who wrote the script for the 1995 film “Brave Heart”, shot by Gibson and received five Oscar awards.
At the same time, it is noted that Wallace reluctantly confirmed rumors about working on the continuation of the "passions of Christ", complaining that the project is becoming more and more difficult to keep secret.
In turn, the official representative of Gibson refused to comment on the possibility of the actor’s participation in this project.
The historical drama of the Passion of Christ, shot by Mel Gibson, was released in 2004 and earned $ 612 million at the box office around the world. At the same time, only $ 30 million were spent on the production of the picture.
