An activist who protested against the construction of the North-Eastern Expressway was released from the police department. He told OVD-Info about this by phone.
The activist, who did not want to introduce himself, was detained on Krasny Kazanets Street and taken to the Veshnyaki police station. According to him, he was standing on the sidewalk when a police officer approached him, introduced himself and demanded to step aside. When asked about the reason for such a demand, the policeman did not answer, but only grabbed the activist by the hand and dragged him into a paddy wagon. In the police department, a protocol was first drawn up for the detainee under Art. 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to the lawful demand of a policeman), however, as he himself said, in the end he was released after giving explanations in writing and without drawing up a protocol.
