A man detained at an uncoordinated rally in Alushta was sentenced to community service

Leonid Litvinchuk, who was detained on June 4 at a rally against the installation of attractions on the Alushta embankment, was found guilty by a court on June 9 of disobeying the lawful demands of the police (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and participating in an uncoordinated rally (Article 20.2). This is reported by the online edition of "Your newspaper". Litvinchuk was sentenced to 25 hours of community service and two days of arrest, which he has already served.

Recall that on June 4, residents of Alushta, at the call of the deputy of the city council of the city Pavel Stepanchenko, went to the Central Embankment to protest against the illegal, according to the deputy, installation of attractions near the water, as well as against the chaotic development of parks and squares. Police officers came to the action, considering what was happening a violation of the law. Stepanchenko and two other participants were roughly detained and taken to the police station. Stepanchenko's statements that it was not a rally, but a meeting of residents with a deputy that did not require approval did not impress the police. According to the deputy, the police beat him, and in the department they took away mobile phones from all the detainees and deleted the videos taken at the time of the arrest.

Stepanchenko's trial is scheduled for June 14, the trial of the third detainee, invalid Ruslan Marinkov, will take place after his recovery.
