"All thoughts are associated only with judo!"
The Novosibirsk Judo has achieved another big victory - the most loud over the past 20 years. A few weeks ago, two judokas from Novosibirsk - Nazar Menshchikov and Anastasia Kuaterina - returned with the victory from the European Cup in Portugal, where they won gold medals in their weight categories. Now they are preparing for the next sports call - the most important in their career. They already got to the national team, but, like real athletes, they dream of much more. For example, a successful performance at the European Championship will allow you to think about the main sports goal - a ticket to the Olympics. “So far I don’t think about anything else,” Nazar admits. “All thoughts are connected only with judo, and I would like to stay in it as long as possible!”
It is possible that the path of Nazar Menshchikov and Anastasia Kuterina will soon repeat dozens of other judokas - are still very young. According to the President of the Novosibirsk Federation of Judo Alexei Julai, now more than 3 thousand people are engaged in this sport in our region. At the same time, the coaches of Nazar and Anastasia note that judo is not in vain considered a sport that develops children and adolescents not only physically, but also spiritually. “In the city, as a rule, children are brought to the sections on cars, they are less developed physically - and parents do not even ask for great victories, they simply want their child to strengthen their health and be to be able

By the way, if Nazar Menshchikov grew up in a "judicial" family - his father coach - then Anastasia Kuterina is from those who

The Novosibirsk Federation of Judo Valery Baranov also confirms the strength and skill of Novosibirsk coaches, which allows to reveal the abilities of all pupils.
"Presidential" species
Today, judo in many regions of Russia has occupied a special situation in the hierarchy of various types: since it is considered a “presidential” type - as you know, they are engaged in the head of state. For example, in Tyumen, as Novosibirsk athletes and coaches say, one of the best judo halls in Russia was recently opened - where more than 100 athletes are being trained, 8 tatami are placed and the most modern equipment was installed. Much more noticeable than earlier, Novosibirsk became the “Judo map” of Russia - in February 2016, the country's youth championship was held here, from which Nazar Menshchikov and Anastasia Kuaterina began their way to the European Cup. After that, the chief manager of the Russian national teams in judo Gamba, noting the successes of Novosibirsk judoka, wished the capital of Siberia the active development of infrastructure for wrestling. This would help to solve several problems of judo development in Novosibirsk at once.
Firstly
, would allow the city to accept competitions of the highest level - which are very important for the growth of young athletes. A
Secondly
, would give a good argument for “holding” in the capital of Siberia promising judokas and coaches - for which many regions compete in Russia's development in Russia.
Now the next goal of Nazar Menshchikov and Anastasia Kuaterina is the European Judo Championship, which will be held in Finland in July. Both are waiting for him with great excitement, which, however, try not to show. Although Nazar admits that so far, after many years of judo classes, he is very worried before going to every duel - and even the national team coach pays more attention to his “psychology”. However, the athlete’s father and coach are sure that this is even good for the athlete: “After all, people come to sports in order to feel adrenaline, emotions, healthy excitement - without this, no victories are achieved!”
