In the Alexander Garden in the center of Moscow, the artist Katrin Nenasheva, along with the graduate of the boarding school and the coordinator of charitable projects Dmitry Zhdanov, held an action dedicated to the brutal handling of orphanages, Nenasheva reports on Facebook.
The artist publicly bandaged Dmitry Zhdanov, who has been moving in a stroller for the past two years. The young man needs daily purification of wounds and pressure sores.
A female police officer approached Nenasheva and Zhdanova. As the artist Mediazone said, the police officer was confused and stood near the young people, trying to ban their shooting. She asked the artist and Zhdanov to leave, and others to ignore what was happening: "Do not look at it, you can’t look at it."
Passers-by went around Nenashev and Zhdanov, someone led the children, some, on the contrary, watched what was happening.
After graduating from the dressing, the artist and graduate of the orphanage left the Alexander Garden. Nenasheva added that the action was timed to the day of Russia.
Dmitry Zhdanov jumped off the fifth floor two years ago, trying to draw attention to the story of his brother Ilya, also a graduate of the orphanage. Ilya Zhdanov was beaten by other pupils of the institution during the day, they mocked it in a locked apartment, describes the incident Nenashev. Police and prosecutor's office refused to initiate proceedings.
“Why should I hide the wounds that became the result of life in this system? Such things need to be shown. I am tired of hiding the horror that hides under my clothes. My body is Russia - the way it is today. I want to say that we continue to fight, and society should take a step towards graduates of orphanages in need of help. We are not afraid, and society should not be afraid, ”the artist Dmitry Zhdanova quoted.
Public ligation of Zhdanov became part of the action. Six days before that, the artist walked around Moscow fastened to the iron bed.
“Within 21 days, I will undergo an outpatient treatment course - to try on myself the methods of prevention, with which the system“ educates ”children,” wrote Nenasheva. “Having attached myself to all this time to the hospital bed, I will try to go through part of the punishments that have become familiar to some orphans.”
The execution is devoted to cruel treatment of children in boarding schools, including their premises in a psychiatric hospital as an educational measure, the artist explained.
