In Voronezh, a local resident was detained who beat his two-year-old stepdaughter to death for crying loudly, according to the website of the regional investigative department.

According to investigators, on June 10, 2016, the body of a two-year-old child with multiple injuries to the face and torso was found in an apartment in one of the houses in Voronezh. The girl lived with her mother and stepfather.

“According to preliminary data, because the girl cried often and loudly, her stepfather beat her. The girl died from her injuries. Currently, investigative actions are being carried out with the suspect,” the investigative department said in a statement.

A criminal case has been initiated against the man under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (murder of a minor).
