Ulyanovsk blogger Sergey Kryukov received political asylum in Ukraine. Kryukov left Russia and disappeared on the territory of a neighboring state from criminal prosecution: five criminal cases were instituted against him for publications on the blog “Russia - a prison of peoples”. He was accused of public justification of terrorism (Article 205.2 h. 1 of the Criminal Code), public calls for extremism (Article 280 of Part 1 of the Criminal Code) and the excitement of hatred or enmity (Article 282 of Part 1 of the Criminal Code). FSB officers detained Kryukov in June 2014, after he was arrested. Six months later, he was released from a pre -trial detention center on a recognizance not to leave. At the end of January 2015, it became known that the blogger left the country.

The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow found the artist Peter Pavlensky guilty of damage to the Oblast of the Cultural Heritage - the door of the FSB. He was obliged to pay a fine of 500 thousand rubles. for the arson of the door and compensation for the damage of the military unit No. 55002 in the amount of 481.4 thousand rubles. The artist was released in the courtroom. Pavlensky said that he would not pay a fine, and called on sympathetic citizens not to collect money.

The Human Rights Center "Memorial" recognized the leader of the Russian Astrakhan movement Igor Stenin pursued for political reasons. Stenin was sentenced to two years in a colony-settlement for public calls for extremism (Article 280 of Part 2 of the Criminal Code) on the Internet. The Memorial believes that the prosecutor’s office and the court “showed an extreme degree of addiction and bias”, which was expressed in numerous procedural violations during the trial.

The Opposition newspaper Pskov Province received a warning from Roskomnadzor for the report “Because we are unnecessary” from the Donetsk region. The editors decided not to mention that the “Right Sector” is an organization banned in Russia, since its name was contained in the direct speech of one of the commentators, and not in the editorial text. Also, the Ministry of Justice began an unscheduled audit of the publication.
