Silver Apples will perform at the festival in Yaroslavl

In the Avant festival, which will be held on September 17 and 18 in the New Yaroslavl Cultural Center for Textil, the pioneer of electronic music Simeon Cox III from the cult psychedelic group Silver Apples will take part.

Also, among the participants of the festival in the Textil CC “My Master up”, Glintshake , Alexander Zaitsev, Ambidextrous, Kira Weinstein, Lucidvox, ZZZMMM, ANAEMIA and NV .

The Silver Apples duo was formed in 1968 in New York and consisted of Simeon Cox III, who played on the synthesizer of his own invention, and Danny Taylor drummer. In 1968 and 1969, Silver Apples released two albums that had a great influence on experimental electronic music, Krut-Cro-Crook and Indi-Rock.

In the 1990s, after the first albums of the duet, Simeon and Taylor gave several joint concerts. In 2005, Danny Taylor died, and since then Silver Apples has been playing Simeon. According to the organizers, in Yaroslavl he will present his new, first album over many years.
