Convicted in Russia citizens of Ukraine G. Afanasyev and Yu.Soloshenko exchanged for Odessa journalists E. Glyshchinskaya and V. Didenko
Today it became known about the new exchange between the Russian and Ukrainian sides. On the website of President Vladimir Putin, the text of the decree signed by him appeared on the pardon of previously convicted citizens of Ukraine, Gennady Afanasyev and Yuri Soloshenko and the release of both from further serving the sentence of imprisonment. On his Twitter page, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko confirmed that both Ukrainians are already flying to their homeland. "Finally! Yuri Soloshenko and Gennady Afanasyev are already on board the Ukrainian aircraft and fly from Moscow to Ukraine, ”Poroshenko wrote.
On December 17, 2014, the Moscow City Court issued Gennady Afanasyev a sentence in the form of seven years of imprisonment on charges of creating a terrorist community and preparing terrorist attacks in Crimea. The director Oleg Sentsov and activist Alexander Kolchenko took place in the same case. On October 14, 2015, the Moscow City Court sentenced the Yuri Soloshenko accused of espionage to six years of maximum security. The investigation claimed that he tried to illegally acquire details for the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system.
About two months ago, the Ministry of Justice of Russia reported that the Federal Penitentiary Service was instructed to prepare documents to resolve the issue of transferring to Ukraine Afanasyev, Soloshenko, Sentsov and Kolchenko. At the end of May, Afanasyev’s lawyer said that his client and Yuri Soloshenko wrote a petition to the name of Russian President Vladimir Putin about pardon.
A message about Poroshenko’s meeting with Afanasyev and Soloshenko, which should be held at the Kiev Scientific and Practical Center of Preventive and Clinical Medicine, where Ukrainians will be hospitalized upon return, has already appeared on the website of the President of Ukraine. It is known that Soloshenko suffers from oncological disease, and Afanasyev detected a blood disease.
Also, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Nadezhda Savchenko expressed a desire to meet with the liberated. “Will I meet them? So, like at me at the airport, I will attach and tear to pieces, I will not. I will meet the guys calmly, we will sit down, drink vodka and talk about what hurts us, ”the pilot recently found freedom said.
In turn, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko pardoned the convicted person for three years for the separatism of the Odessa journalist Vitaly Didenko and his colleague Elena Gloshchinskaya, suspected of the same crime.
Ukrainian media report that Glishchinskaya changed the measure of restraint from detention for a personal obligation, and Didenko had mercy. They were accused of separatism as organizers and active participants in the so -called people's Rada Bessarabia. A month and a half ago, a son was born in a pre -trial detention center at Glishchinskaya. In addition, she has two more minor children. Currently, Glishchinskaya with a child and Didenko have already been delivered to Moscow by the Rossiya GTK aircraft. It is impossible to directly name the incident - Didenko and the Slishchinsky citizens of Ukraine and formally simply “consent” to the flight to Russia.
