Viktor Kapitonov and Vasily Nedopekin are in the Tver police department. This was announced on June 15 by human rights activist Irina Yatsenko on her Facebook. They were detained for handing out leaflets about Prosecutor General Yury Chaika.
According to the detainees, they are charged with Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (Violation of the established procedure for organizing or holding a meeting, rally, demonstration, procession or picketing). Together with Kapitonov and Nedopekin, a third unknown person was detained. “He was with a megaphone and shouted ‘Navalny is our leader,’ apparently a provocateur,” said OVD-Info activists.
Today in Moscow, about ten people were detained for picketing at the Federation Council and distributing leaflets about Chaika. Some have already been released .
