The leader of the Party of Progress Alexei Navalny turned to President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and the head of the CEC Ella Pamfilova demanding that the party to the elections. The politician wrote about this on his website.
"We want to participate in the elections, and today I am also addressed to President Putin, Prime Minister Medvedev and the head of the CEC of Pamfilova on behalf of the Party of Progress with a demand to allow us to participate in the elections," Navalny said.
Navalny demands to cancel the illegal, in his opinion, the decision of the Ministry of Justice to refuse to register a party of progress.
At the same time, Navalny sent a complaint to the Constitutional Court to the provisions of the Law on Political Parties, which allowed to deprive the batch of official registration.
“Until now, the progress progress has the greatest level of support among democratic parties, even if it is simply prohibited to mention it in official media. I personally took part in the elections recently and even after the theft of a part of the vote according to official figures, I received support for 28 percent of voters in the largest city in the country,” Navalny writes.
In September 2014, the Ministry of Justice stated that the Party of Progress could not be registered . “The party provides information about 40 registered regional branches,” the representative of the department explained. “At the same time, 24 regional branches are entered by the 6 -month period established by law.”
On April 28, 2015, the Ministry of Justice decided to recall the Party of Naval Registration and its exclusion from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. The agency explained that if in 44 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the necessary registration was passed by October 2014, then the rest of the departments did not meet this period.
On June 3, 2015, the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow recognized the Ministry of Justice for the recall of registration with the Party of Progress. Navalny then stated that he would appeal this decision in the ECHR. He also said that he would not register a new party. "Our party remains in the form of a political subject: activists, structure, heads of regional organizations - but we are going to the elections on the basis of the RPR -Parnas as part of a democratic coalition, so we do not need any license now," the politician explained.
At the end of April, the Party of Progress and the Democratic Choice actually left the demo department . Navalny stated that the democracy would continue to exist as a structure uniting an unsystematic opposition, but he would not put forward a single list in the immediate elections to the State Duma.
The reason for the actual collapse of the coalition was immediately a number of disagreements between its participants, in particular, the reservation of the first place in the list by the chairman of Parnassus Mikhail Kasyanov. Earlier in April, due to the reluctance of Kasyanov, a number of candidates to participate in the primaries, including the deputy chairman of Parnas Ilya Yashin , announced the exit from the election race.
