
Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, Deputy Chairman of the Department of External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, who spoke on Friday at a round table in Moscow, said that the Cretan Inter -Orthodox Forum could not, according to the regulations, discuss the church issue in Ukraine, and hopes that Constantinople will not interfere in it.
"An agreement was reached that only six issues will be the subject of the study of the message to the flock. And the issuance of any questions on this cathedral is not allowed by the regulation," the priest’s statement portal as saying.
So the representative of the Russian Orthodox Church answered the question of whether the Patriarchate of Constantinople , coordinating the church forum in Crete, can consider the appeal of the Verkhovna Rada deputies with a call to give autocephaly to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
According to Nikolai Balashov, earlier Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Onufry, answering the question of whether the “revenge” of Constantinople will be for the non -participation of the Russian Church in the forum in Crete, said that "Christians do not have this, it is not so customary."
“And we also come out of this,” the representative of the church noted.
