Judge Vakhromov arrested Rinat for 7 days. Salakhutdinov admitted that he climbed into the house to Goryunov - along with the accomplices Radik Gatauullin, Ilnar Khairullin and Sergey Senin, and Gatauullin was preparing for the role of the killer: Salakhutdinov said that he had seen a pistol behind him. After that, he was released on a recognizance not to leave. As early as the fall of 2003, the deputy prosecutor of Tatarstan Farit Zagidullin demanded that the Tetyushin investigators do work to collect the material: to explore the printed hand and traces of the sneakers found at the spot, to seize and explore the clothes of the suspects, as well as the car of Sergei Senin. Investigators fulfilled only part of the instructions: the trace of the hand was unsuitable for examination, they seized clothes, but they did not look for the remains of gunpowder on it, the traces did not correspond to the size of any of the suspects, found neither a gun nor witnesses who could prove the guilt of young people.
