However, just before the bike parade, the security forces dispersed the audience. Initially, Gurevich reported that the event was disrupted by the police. However, he later stated that the cyclists were accelerated by "people in military uniform."

It was also reported that the co -organizer of the bike run Mikhail Ivanov was detained and delivered to the police - from the publication of Fontanka.ru it is not clear whether the Admiralty Ministry of Internal Affairs was meant or one of the deposits subordinate to him. In turn, Radio Liberty reported that one person was detained at night, who was soon released without drawing up a protocol and taking explanations. The radio station did not specify the name of the detained.

Meanwhile, in the morning in the St. Petersburg police headquarters they talked about seven detainees at the copper horseman. According to the security forces, one citizen was charged with a drunk in a public place, the rest of the six - violation of the rules of the road.

The police explained the dispersal of the bicycle parade by the fact that he was allegedly not agreed by either the city administration or the regional authorities. Meanwhile, Gurevich said that this year, as well as in the previous ones, the notification of the mileage was submitted a month before the event of a number of city authorities - from the Committee on Youth Policy to the Committee on Legal Studies - and all these departments were agreed.

However, Gurevich continued, the officials began to call the organizers a day before the event, warning that due to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in the city with a bicycle parade, problems may arise. During the negotiations, the organizers were offered to start "in fact", however, despite this agreement, the event was dispersed.
