In Istanbul, police used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse an LGBT rally.

The action, according to AFP, was attended by about 150 people. The Hurriyet Daily News writes that the police dispersed a group of about 50 people who were trying to enter the central Taksim square.

Two people are reported to have been arrested. 11 LGBT opponents were also detained.
