Ilya has a very independent character, but his life depends on the Ivl
Ilya up to 6 years old had no diagnosis. When he began to walk, he had a slightly awkward stumbling gait, and he could not always keep up with the boys of his age. Doctors reassured their mother, said that everything would pass with age.
But the year before Ilya was supposed to go to first grade, the new doctor diagnosed Ilya - Duchenen's muscle dystrophy. Ilya went to school, and his parents proudly told how he himself climbed the steps to the second floor and went down to dinner in the dining room. This lasted six months. And then it became difficult: Ilya was constantly knocked down. And he had to switch to homework.
For another three years, Ilya went outside, but at ten years he fell and hit painfully. And in it there was a fear of space outside his room, where there was a comfortable bed, pillows, a laptop table.
And in May 2014, after the end of the eighth grade, Ilya had an attack of suffocation. So a new fear appeared - to suffocate. And a month later, it was connected to the Ivl apparatus. For two years now, Ilya has been breathing only with the device.
Now Ilya is 17 years old. And he is haunted by fears: the fear that the respiratory circuit will clog, that Ivl will break, that the light in the house will turn off and the devices will not work. He spoke with his mother a detailed plan of what they would do if the device stops, how she would help him breathe with a special manual bag of Ambu, while an ambulance was traveling.
Ilya tries to be independent. His access to the world is a laptop and social networks. And this world with your favorite music and friends is only it. Ilya’s mother says she is surprised at how her home boy grew up with such an independent and strong character. But Ilya’s life depends on the apparatus.
Any car has its own service life and the term of maintenance. For the IVL apparatus, the first mark to check faults is 15,000 hours of work: this period is approaching. Maintenance of the IVL apparatus costs 150 thousand rubles. We need to collect this money, because my mother does not have it. The children's hospice “House with a lighthouse” promised Ilya that he would conduct maintenance of the apparatus without waiting for a dangerous mark. 150 thousand rubles. - And Ilya will be able to live calmly again - until the next then.
