Unreasonable investigation

The case of the murder of the co-chair of the RPR-Parnas Boris Nemtsov went to the prosecutor to approve the indictment. This was reported on the website of the TFR.

There are five defendants: Zaur Dadaev, the brothers Anzor and Shadid Gubashev, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov and Khamzat Bakhaev. Each of the five is charged with points "g", "s" of part 2 of article 105 (hiring murder as part of an organized group) and part 3 of article 222 of the Criminal Code (illegal turnover of weapons). The maximum punishment on the first of these accusations is the death penalty.

The criminal prosecution of another person involved - Beslan Shavanov, who died in March 2015 during a detention in Grozny - was discontinued in connection with his death, that is, on an non -rehabilitating basis.

The case was allocated against the Kadyrovts by Ruslan Mukhudinov, whom the investigation calls the customer and organizer of the murder, as well as "other unidentified persons".

According to the Investigative Committee, at the end of September 2014, Mukhudinov and “other persons” invited five accused and Shavanov to kill Nemtsov, promising at least 15 million rubles for this. The defendants accepted this proposal. Dadaev and Shavanov, like Mukhudinov, served in the Kadyrovsky battalion of the North internal troops. Eskerkhanov is a former police officer in Chechnya.

On February 27, 2015, at about 23:31 Dadaev, following Nemtsov and his friend Anna Duritskaya along the Big Moskvoretsky bridge in the Russian capital, shot at least six times to politics. He died on the spot. The pistol model is not specified in the message - the department talks about "weapons for firing with cartridges of caliber 9 millimeters."

During the murder of the TFR, he calls Anzor Gubashev and Shavanov direct accomplices direct accomplices. It is claimed that all three immediately after the murder of Nemtsov disappeared, and other defendants in the case, just like Mukhudinov and other persons, “helped three accomplices hide from law enforcement agencies, contributed to their speedy departure outside the Moscow region.”

The motive of religious hatred, mentioned at the beginning of the investigation, the TFR completely excludes. According to the agency, earlier Dadaev and Anzor Gubashev stated that they took revenge on Nemtsov for supporting the French magazine Charlie Hebdo, who was attacked by the Islamists after publishing cartoons on the Prophet Muhammad. However, the attack on the editorial office of the magazine occurred in January 2015, the department indicated, while preparation for the murder began a few months earlier.

Meanwhile, the lawyers of the relatives of Nemtsov, who were undergoing victims in the case, from the very beginning of the investigation skeptically evaluated his conclusions. In particular, they expressed distrust of the assertion that Mukhudinov was a customer of the crime, noting that he is a maximum organizer, and that is not the main thing. Also, lawyers unsuccessfully demanded that the Kadyrovsets Ruslan Geremeyev, whose Mukhudinov worked as a driver, to be prosecuted.

In turn, the accused refused the initial testimony, referring to the torture that they were subjected to after the detention. They stated that Nemtsova shot the late Shavanov, and they themselves were drawn into the crime by deception, without explaining that it was a murder.

Dadaev and Eskerkhanov at different times sent complaints about torture and sabotage of their investigation to the ECHR.
